For the Amazon MGM Studios production, the production team will be filming scenes covering specific sections of the legendary TT Mountain Course.<\/p>\n<h2>Temporary road closures on Mountain Course.<\/h2>\n<p>Between Saturday, August 8th and Saturday, August 15th, certain sections of the Mountain Course will be temporarily closed for filming; however, the entire route will not be closed to traffic simultaneously at any point. The exact details of the closures will be announced on the Isle of Man Government&#039;s official website once arrangements are finalized. Homeowners and business owners in the affected areas will receive advance notice letters explaining the access arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>The production team completed the initial filming phase in June. During TT race week, teams took to the stage around the TT Grandstand and on Glencrutchery Road; working alongside real racing teams and spectators to recreate the atmosphere of the event. Channing Tatum was spotted filming on Glencrutchery Road, while co-star Eve Hewson performed on stage at the Grandstand. Producer Brad Pitt also visited the island during the production process.<\/p>\n<h2>cast and director<\/h2>\n<p>Inspired by the TT Races, the film is directed by Reid Carolin. Carolin not only wrote the screenplay but has also previously worked with Tatum on &#039;Dog&#039;, &#039;Logan Lucky&#039;, and &#039;Magic Mike&#039;. The cast includes Channing Tatum and Eve Hewson, as well as Ciar\u00e1n Hinds, May Calamawy, and Ruaridh Mollica.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with Radio TT during the TT races, Carolin emphasized that authenticity was central to the production: &#039;When we set out to make this film, our main goal was to realistically portray the event and convey the authenticity of the island and the race to audiences worldwide. There is no other sporting event like this race in the world.&#039; Locals also participated as extras in the filming on the Isle of Man; their involvement was specifically used to create a bustling TT awards area atmosphere.<\/p>\n<h2>Ireland filming and release date<\/h2>\n<p>The production also filmed in Ireland, outside the Isle of Man; scenes were shot in County Sligo. The Isle of Man Government Enterprise Department, which owns and manages the official rights to TT, described the project as a significant opportunity to introduce the island, the race, and its unique identity to a global audience. The comprehensive agreement with Amazon MGM Studios includes the film as well as a documentary series filmed during the 2024 TT season.
