Valentino Rossi, with 89 victories, remains at the top of the list, closely followed by Marc Marquez, who moved up to second place for the 2025 season. Meanwhile, Pecco Bagnaia won the Sprint race in Brno last Saturday, achieving his 14th career Sprint victory.

Rossi's record is under pressure.

The MotoGP World Championship has been held since 1949, with Harold Daniell recording the first premier class winner; Daniell won that year's British Grand Prix – which was run in the Isle of Man Senior TT format. Today, Valentino Rossi is the undisputed leader with 89 victories: the Italian legend secured his first win in 2000 and his last in 2017. Marc Marquez, who is just behind Rossi, is expected to reach this position by the 2025 season. Only two names among the all-time top winners are still on the track: Marquez and his Ducati teammate Pecco Bagnaia.

Bagnaia's sprint move in Brno

Bagnaia secured his first victory of the season at the Brno Sprint race, bringing his career sprint wins to 14. This result keeps him in third place on the sprint list, behind Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez. Bagnaia won in 2023, Martin in 2024, and Marquez in 2025; these three riders are also significantly ahead in the sprint win standings. Toprak Razgatlıoğlu finished 11th in the Brno Sprint race.. Other riders who have achieved sprint victories this season include Pedro Acosta (Buriram) from Red Bull KTM and Raul Fernandez (Mugello) from Trackhouse Aprilia.

Sprint races, while not officially counting as Grand Prix victories, contribute to championship points via a half-point system: 12 points for first place, 9 for second, and 7 for third; the points deducted as little as 1 point for places down to ninth. Since the 2023 season, 11 different drivers have won sprint races in this format, which is added to the Saturday afternoon of each race weekend.

Competition among active pilots

Only Marquez and Bagnaia remain in the top 10 of the all-time premier class winners list among active drivers. Martin, however, is high on the sprint list. The gap in sprint wins between these three drivers has narrowed somewhat with Bagnaia's performance in Brno. When Marquez will reach Rossi's record of 89 wins remains one of the most important questions determining the course of the championship.

Sources

Crash.net

2026 İtalya Grand Prix’si ve Brno Sprint yarışının ardından MotoGP’nin tüm zamanların galipler listesi güncellendi.
