The 2026 Isle of Man TT races started today (May 25th) and will continue until June 6th. Known as the world's most dangerous and prestigious road race, this year's TT promises to be extremely competitive.

What is TT?

The Isle of Man TT is a legendary motorcycle race held on public roads off the Isle of Man, England. Riders reach speeds exceeding 200 km/h on the 37.73-mile (60.7 km) Mountain Course. Held since 1907, the race is considered one of motorsport's most special events, both for its danger and its legendary atmosphere.

Prominent Figures of 2026

Undoubtedly, this year's biggest story is... Michael Dunlop. Dunlop, who has 33 TT victories, will make his 100th TT start in 2026 — making him only the 7th in history. Dunlop, who achieved a historic victory in the Supersport category with Ducati in 2025, is among the favorites this year as well.

Peter Hickman She's returning after a serious accident in 2025. While many questioned whether she would ever race again, Hickman surprised everyone with her return to Canada.

Dean Harrison Honda is coming to the TT at a time when it is displaying its strongest form this season. It perhaps has its best opportunity to reach the top in the six-lap Senior TT.

Davey Todd Yok

Davey Todd, last year's sole Superbike TT winner, will be unable to race in 2026 due to health issues. This makes the Superbike and Senior TT categories much more open than usual.

Program

Qualifying rounds started on May 25th. The main races begin on June 2nd with Supersport TT 1 and conclude on June 6th with Senior TT. We at frenyok.com will be closely following all developments. 🏍️
