Fabio Quartararo has announced that Yamaha is focusing all its resources on the 850cc project and has therefore abandoned requests for improvements to the current motorcycle. The French rider finished the German GP in seventh place.

Marc Marquez led Friday's practice session at the German Grand Prix with a time of 1,19.394 seconds. Raul Fernandez finished second, 0.166 seconds behind, giving Ducati three riders in the top four.
