Front Row Motorsports (FRM) announced on Friday, July 17, 2026, that they have extended Todd Gilliland's contract for the 2027 NASCAR Cup season. Gilliland will continue to drive the #34 Ford Mustang.

Four-year partnership with FRM

Gilliland has competed exclusively for Front Row Motorsports in the Cup Series since joining in 2022. During this time, they have finished in the top five twice and the top ten 16 times. In the 2026 season, they are currently 24th in the overall standings, just three points behind their teammate Zane Smith.

Gilliland actually established his relationship with FRM at the start of the 2020 season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Driving the team's rake truck, he secured a victory at COTA in 2021. In the 2026 season, he reached the semi-finals of the In-Season Challenge, keeping his chances of winning the $1 million prize alive. Gilliland will face off against former Cup champion Chase Elliott in this competition in North Wilkesboro.

The situation of teammates

The picture is more complicated when it comes to FRM's other riders. Zane Smith signed a multi-year contract extension with the team last fall. The future of the third rider, Noah Gragson, remains uncertain; Gragson recently stated that he is looking for work for next year.

Front Row Motorsports has a total of four victories at the Cup level. Their first win came in Talladega with a 1-2 finish; Todd Gilliland's father, David Gilliland, helped his teammate David Ragan to first place. This was followed by victories in Pocono in 2016 with Chris Buescher and in the Daytona 500 in 2021 with Michael McDowell. The team's most recent victory also came from McDowell: this win at the 2023 Indianapolis Road Course marked the fourth Cup in FRM history.
