An unexpected turn of events occurred on the first lap of the race. Bezzecchi lost the lead to Jorge Martin at the first corner. However, the Italian driver was impatient and immediately counter-attacked at the fourth corner to regain his position. This maneuver would prove decisive for the rest of Bezzecchi's race.
Bagnaia's Superior Performance and Decline
In the first three laps of the race, Francesco Bagnaia overtook both Bezzecchi and Martin to take the lead.
