TT 2026 holds a very special meaning for John McGuinness. The legendary Morecambe rider is completing his 30th TT this year. To celebrate this milestone, the organization has specially positioned McGuinness to start from position number 1 in both the Superbike and Superstock races.
McGuinness, who has 23 TT victories with Honda, expressed his commitment to the event in an interview with ITV Granada: “These tracks never let you go. I’ve been here for 30 years and I thought the excitement was decreasing every year, but it’s actually increasing.”
In the same interview, McGuinness also spoke about his communication with Channing Tatum regarding the TT film: “I talked to Channing a bit, we chatted. He loves motorcycles, he thinks this project is great. It’s a big production, a Hollywood thing. I know some of the people involved in the project, I hope it’ll be a success.”
